To My Readers,
I have been described as a character and an eccentric. I was the only child born to Edna H. French (nee Farewell) and Franklin Eugene French in October 5th, 1895, at Thornton’s Corners. The French’s were one of the old pioneer families of this area. We lived on Thornton Road North, from the 1840s or 1850s to the 1920s. 291 Thornton Road North.
I lived to be 84 years old, passing away in 1980.
I was an accomplished pianist, receiving my Intermediate Certificate in 1929. I was a member of St. George’s Anglican Church in Oshawa and left my estate to them when I died. I never married nor had any children.
